Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and Shipwreck

This is a shipwreck that became exposed in the winter of 2000-2001 on what is known as South Beach.
I took this picture shortly after it became exposed. A few days later, the Park Service had to post signs
around the wreck to inform people that it was illegal to take souvenirs from National Seashore shipwrecks.
Update-This shipwreck is no longer here. Hurricane Isabel's massive storm surge and waves moved it down
the beach somewhere.
